As I’ve committed, I’ll be sharing blogging tips and tricks right here on this blog. Now let me share with you how I brought partial quality and targeted traffic to my previous blog (before the relaunch with WordPress) at beginning.

I always believe that internet marketing strategy is the one of the most important keys for every internet marketers. They need a proper strategy to make their blog or site successful in terms of audience and revenue. For me, potential audience visit to my blog through the search engines and social media sites. That makes my traffic generation very vital and it gives a chance to promote my blog to global audience so that it may achieve faster ROI and also to make more profits.

How PPC Advertising System Works

While considering the best internet marketing strategy, the first tactical approach that freaked me personally is the <noindex>PPC advertising programs</noindex>. PPC advertising has been growing in popularity nowadays. Many affiliate marketers, online sellers (whether in digital or physical products) and service providers turn to this strategy because they know it helps to promote their products or services. This method increases their visibility on the internet by bringing traffic to their blog or site. They only pay the host when there’s a click on the ad. This technique highlights their products or services as a choice for users looking for similar things. Furthermore, most PPC advertising programs (e.g. <noindex>Google AdWords</noindex>) have integrated content development, keywords research as well as ROI tracking tool built into their system.

I personally consider niche blogging as one of the best methods of internet marketing strategies. Niche blogging is being used to effectively monetize the blog by driving more targeted traffic. Hence blogging with the right keywords may generate not just quality, but targeted traffic as well which eventually will bring more sales and profits.

PPC Ads Became My Traffic Generation Tool

I maintained my previous blog (the one with hosted on Blogger) with PPC ads running with a comprehensive analysis to determine the most effective campaign so that a maximum ROI will be achieved. I had a proper group of keywords as well as appropriate connection with the ads. For your information, my goals and budget limitations were always predetermined.

I realized that by having a properly balanced internet marketing strategies and advertisements will definitely increase the sales and profits and eventually help me to achieve faster ROI. When I got to know about the facts of making money by blogging, the primary concept that grossed out was to share the possibility of income made off my blog.

As far as I consider, blogging is quite simple and straight forward (if you do it right), and doesn’t require too much professional expertise. All I did was doing a little research to find the most sorts after niche and <noindex>making essential keyword analysis</noindex> to minimize its competition.

When the step is done, I started writing all the essential contents that I considered worth and resourceful to read. Always remember, content is king. When days passed by, I started analyzing the traffic volume that my blog received via my PPC ads. I really wish that I knew this tactic before actually started blogging.

There’re many keyword tools out there. They help you to analyze and research the keywords of your niche so that you can minimize the competition. Next time, I’ll share about the popular keyword tools and how you can optimize your content with the right keywords.

I hope you find this post useful to help you get started bringing quality and targeted traffic to your blog or site with PPC ads. Leave your comment below if you’ve any questions or better suggestions.

Sorry for the long wait, fellow bloggers and internet marketers. I’ve been trying to retrieve my lost database so I couldn’t really launch my blog in expected time. Anyway, welcome landing here again. It’s my resurrected Media Temple hosted WordPress blog.

Back in year 2007, I started to blog about some miscellaneous stuff on the commonly used blogging platform – Blogger (a.k.a. BlogSpot). After a year of blogging effort, I managed to generate some decent blog traffic, a small amount of loyal readers and the most excited thing, I got my first AdSense check from Google! Well, everything was doing fine until a few months later, I was kinda stuck! I realized that it was quite difficult to grow my traffic, readers, subscribers, rankings, and the most important thing, the revenue that I made off the blog.

I Switched from Blogger (BlogSpot) to WordPress

I wouldn’t believe that the main reason why I was suffering to improve my blog was the matter of the blogging platform that I used. Until 2 years ago (in 2008), I did some researches and compared the advantages and benefits between free-hosted Blogger (previously BlogSpot) blogs and self-hosted WordPress blogs, I realized that WordPress can almost do anything I want with the availability of its plugins and themes. Without any further considerations, I signed up with HostGator, one of the most affordable and reliable cPanel WordPress hosting providers, which is recommended by most internet marketers. I then moved from Blogger (or BlogSpot) to WordPress. It took me some time to learn and get familiar with it (from blog installations to configurations). However, it’s now my favorite blogging platform as it allows me to decide how I want my blog to be and not how Google wants my blog to be (sorry I can’t be too obvious here but I hope you get what I mean). I believe that by blogging with WordPress, it’s gonna bring my blog to the next level. The only sad thing is that I lost my all previous subscribers and I’ll have to rebuild them all over from scratch.

Blogging How to Blog with WordPress and SEO Tips

I’m gonna republish all those articles and share the knowledge that I’ve learnt from other top bloggers and internet marketers around my niche in the past three years. I’m still improving my blogging skill to become one of the most successful six-figure income bloggers and internet marketers.

Finally, my WordPress blog has been successfully reinstalled and relaunched now! I’m so excited that imKevinTan.com is back to business again. You may visit my about page to find out more about me and what my blog is about.

I Lost My Previous WordPress Database

If you’ve been to my blog before, you might notice that it had nothing on it except the original WordPress front-page. All you could see is the “Hello world!” post and the familiar “Just another WordPress weblog” tagline in the front-page. It’s been like this for a long time due to my database issue. I’ll discuss further about it in detail later and separate into a series of 3 posts to share my experience and the mistake I did to kill my entire blog.

I Moved My WordPress Blog to Media Temple

Right before the shutdown, my blog was on the rise. It had many blog posts published and its Alexa ranking was at approximately 180k but now it’s dropped to 800k. Sadly, my database was gone without any backups to retrieve. Anyway that’s the past story, let’s just forget it. I’ve made a wise decision to switch to <noindex>Media Temple</noindex>. Now I just need to re-blog everything from scratch and bring it back to live again!

So my advice to all those who’re new to blogging is that always remember to make database backups periodically just in case bad things happen. Also, never ever try to deal with a cheap hosting provider that provides poor support. Trust me, it’s gonna get you in trouble.

Alright, these topics will be shared by the next coming posts. So stay tuned.

How I went mad and killed my own blog’s database.

How I tweaked my blog’s speed with codes and plugins.

How I retrieved part of my previous lost posts.

To celebrate the relaunch of my blog, I’m gonna offer some exciting freebies and contests soon. Be sure to sign up to my RSS feed to keep up to date with my blog news!
